i have a weird noise coming fom my engine, it makes like a ticking noise, i thought it was the valves but i adjusted them and i dont have a clue what it is!!! can someone tell me what it is and if they ever had the same problem??? oh and it still runs great...

anything done to the motor?
mine did that after i built it, just the piston knocking, id check that.
a guy in my class just built a new motor and it did the same also was the piston.

if you have a built motor and you are running regular or lower octain gas this could be the noise. because of the way it detonates. my motor is fully built and i run 110 octane.

if running higher octane doesn't fixe it try changing out you timing chain and tensior i would do the chain guides also while your at it.

yea im gonna have to go with welp313racing if it was detonation it would be more of a distinct knock,,

if its a tap and it wasn't the valves i would say a stretched timing chain or a malfunctioning tensioner could be the cause,,
