Axle Brand ???

Can anyone tell what brand axle I have just by looking at it?
It's aftermarket, but it doesnt say ( from what I can see ) the brand.
Up to my buddies yfz, it's quite a bit wider, and it's chrome.
The guy I got it from doesnt know what type of axle is in it, and didnt take very good care of the quad for the short time he had it, and then it sat for nearly a year so its got a little rust on the axle I may try using some steel wool on.
Heres a pic.

im not 110% sure but it looks like a stock axle with 400ex hubs on it to make it wider than stock length instead of buyin an aftermarket but it could be something like a g-force also but it dosent look like yamaha hubs but i may not see them to well, how many spacers are behing the hubs?

Theres no spacers behind the hubs, and they are yamaha hubs, not sure if they are from a YFZ but they are yamaha bolt pattern.
I have a set of sand paddles on yamaha wheels and they mount right up.
As far as stock goes, I really have no idea.. but I dont think it's stock being as it's so much wider.

dude i dont know what to tell ya bcuz ive never seen an aftermarket axle thats extended that isnt adjustable so it has to be a stock axle, only way to really know is if u pull it out and check the center where the bearings are and if its lonestar then it will say on it

Yeah, Im not sure.
I do know that not all axles are adjustable though.
It's really not worth it to me to take it apart and check, I was just seeing if anyone could tell me.

one more idea. run your hand across the axle and see if it has any small ribs on it. it should feel rough if it is a stock axle.

It is completley smooth, Ive washed it a few times, and just went out and checked.
Its nice and clean, other than the little amount of surface rust it has on it, it's completley smooth

its not a stocker then.

It looks like a stock axle. Are you sure its chrome or is it a gold color? With the beadlocks you have they could be a different offset making your bike wider. Also those hubs could just be painted stockers. Are there any spacers on the inside or outside of the hub? If so its a lonestar cause there the only ones I know that use the stock locknut other than stock. If you can get a pic of the nut that locks the hub on the axle and then we could tell.

Okay ill snap a pic today, but yes it's chrome and there are no spacers inside, or outside of the hub.
I also assume the hubs are just painted stockers

go to an auto parts store an get some never dull metal polish it will get most of the rust off. the axle looks like an rpm they have those little indents at the end of both sides.

it looks like a durablue. its deff not an rpm or stock. my stock axle is alot thiner then that (not width of quad, the axle itself is thiner) and rpms's get really thin by the hub and have sorta copper colored spacers
Posted by: Honda_Matt
Thanks for the info guys, Probably a durablue then huh?
Posted by: mxpimp2000
hey man i had a durablue and it didnt get smaller at the ends like that one but i just bought an RPM and it looks identical to urs it gets small behind the hubs but mine has spacers

It's not a Durablue. They have a special lock nut.
Looks more like an old Lonestar.
Take some closer pictures.
And one with the wheel off.
