Motor running weird!

I have a stock 250x motor which runs great, but it seems like when i drive it, the motor revs really high then it's almost like the motor has to clear itself out before it will accelerate. Does anyone know what this could be?

Does it idle fine? or does it idle kinda eractic? if it does it when it's idling too..there could be a crack in your intake boot.

Did you rejet the carb when you added your White Bro's Slip-On?

The motors idles and runs just fine, and this was happening before the slip on. There is no rip in the intake boot, and re-jetting was done for the pipe. It only happens when I am going through the gears and accelerating.
