I posted in the Powertrain forum about what gas to use and where I might find it, but I still haven't made a solid descision. I called VP and I asked about 3 different fuels, all of them are over ten bucks a gallon.

The motorcycle shop down the road sells some type of VP for 9 bucks a gallon, which is acceptable but I think I can get lower.

I have heard the possibility of using 100LL AV Gas in it, but I've also heard some junk about how that gas is primarily for low RPM applications. I wouldn't think that a fuel would give a **** how fast it's being burnt, but I don't know so do you guys have info on this? Is it okay to use?

My original jug had a tested PSI of 220. I used 93 pump gas in it because I didn't know any better, but it never lasted very long. It was fast, but it didn't last long at all.

So guys, any help is appreciated. I'm almost finished with the rebuild, I'm just waiting on the cylinder, so I'm gonna need a place to get gas soon. Thanks!

I've been running av gas for 5 years with no problems, and its around 4 bucks/gallon. I highly recommend it

I run 100ll av gas in my snowmobile with no problems and my sled at peak RPM it runs about 8,000RPM.

yeah you will be fine with running av fuel, just when you go to fill it up. ask if the owners have added anything to it. because sometimes they will add a additive for when its really cold. but other than that its just a regular fuel.

Iliketogofast talk to Rissler thats where I get my race gas. He sells Torco, its either 110 or 112 for a little over 6 bucks a gallon.

Beak, just the guy I wanted to hear from. I was getting ready to PM you and see if you knew where to get race gas around here for under ten bucks.

So do you use this Torco in your bike, and it is good for use in a 2 stroke?

I don't know whether to use the race gas or the AV Fuel...? The 100LL is only 4.27 at Sky King but the race gas is a little over 6. I ride a lot, and I'm on a budget.

What he said. I run it with maxima 927, seems to be good stuff for the price. Are you going to be running straight race gas?

I'll have to, I think. I tested last time at barely over 220, so I'm just going to go safe and go 100% race gas.

i've run av gas for years without any problems, as have several of the people i ride with...

however, do i have concerns that the 100 octane will be enough for that high of PSI... yes...
