Just recently purchased a new 2007 MXR90, I am having a little problem with the carb. If the fuel is on I get fuel running out of the overflow tube on the carb while it is sitting still not running. Would this be a stuck float? any ideas on what to do and how to fix this? I have never had the carb off yet and just wanted to check here for advice first.

possibly, you could tap the side of the float bowl with a screw driver handle or small spanner, not to hard, and see if that cures it.

It could be a stuck float or more than likely, a little dirt got into the float fuel plunger that shuts off the fuel into the float bowl. Either way, a good removal and cleaning should fix your problem.

ok, so I took it apart, cleaned it up and lowered the float level a bit, now it seems to have a bit of a bog off the line and it bogs down off of the corners. Did I set the float level too low?

put it back where it was and see if still does it..........if not your pilot might be off or the needle
