What effects would there be if I stood my quad up for a long period of time? I have a small storage unit and I have to stand it up. Would there be any leaks to be concerned about? Any info would help

the only thing i would worry about is gas leaking out but if its going to be in a storage unit it for a long period of time i would drain it anyhow (just make sure the fuel pump has fuel in it so it stays lubricated)

I'd just drain your gas and leave the oil in like Twistedmetal696 said. It should be fine

what about shutting the gas off? I would take it out riding every few weeks or so. So I would leave the gas in there, Would shutting it off be fine or if its only sitting for a little the gas wont go bad? Is that he reason worried about the gas cause it could go bad?

I stood mine up for a while with gas in it. Gas did leak slowly out of the cap vent tube down onto the seat, which started to dissolve the seat cover. I would at least drain it to less than half of a tank and you should be good.

I agree with Legend_XL. Turning the gas off won't really do anything for LTRs because their fuel injected anyway. The ON/OFF for the gas is used mainly for pulling the tank I've been told.
