I would like to change up my chain and sprockets, and I know that factory is 13/38, and I was curious if i go to a smaller sprocket up front and a bigger one in back, will it make the wheeler faster or slower? so my actual question is do i want a smaller or bigger sprocket up front to make more speed? also how do i decide what size chain to get>?
any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
~Kenny

a smaller engine sprocket will give more torque at the expense of top speed.A larger rear sprocket also does the same.Go with a 14t engine sprocket for more top speed, torque wont suffer too much for a 300ex as they have enough grunt to pull 14/38 gearing no problem.
