Need help..500 or 525 outlaw???

Hey, I need help on deciding which quad to get. I can get the 500 outlaw for about 4700 used and beef it up a lil bit and still save some money or bite the bullet and get the 525 for about 6800 new, i cant find a used one out there so if you could please help with this. Need someones input that has knowledge on the subject. THANKS, JT

go 525 and rejet it
it'll rock compared to the 500
(and alot of other bikes)

You should be able to find a used 500 for less than that and a 525 for less.

If you just ride then the 500 is fine. If you want to be fast and have the ktm then go 525. The 525 is considerably faster. I had my 500 pretty maxed out without engine mods. It was pretty quick. A stock 525 could beat it in a drag race though.

There are used 525 on ebay right now. You may be able to get one in the 5k range. I would make sure you get a newer on though so that youget all the updates. They started putting different carriers on the rear in dec07. There is a born on date on them, its on the vin sticker in front.

I've been on a 500 Troy Lee and it was NICE! If you do a lot of woods riding like me, try to find one. It will be used cuz they don't make them any more but it's worth the search.
