i was talkin to a buddy who has a stock raptor 700 and he told me it tops out around 80mph. im not sayin its impossible but thats hard for me to believe. so wats it actual top speed stock?

About the same as most of the other hi-po performance quads, mid 70's.

80mph isn't impossible with the sensor disabled, but it's on the high side of what's reasonable.

I have a stock 06 raptor 700. I tested the top speed with a gps and it done 79 mph up a hill on a rock road and 81 mph down the same hill. The hill is not very steep. I also tested my wifes stock 04 ltz 400 and it went 73. My cousins 04 kfx 700 went 74 top speed.

I own a 2001 raptor 660. 2 days after i got it I was clocked by my friend on the highway doing 140kmph, which is roughly 84mph. after it was broke in and even now still stock(besides rubber) it does 80mph. So im assuming the 700r can also accomplish this.

Hmmm, the 700 is lighter, and more powerfull, so it must be the gearing. The 700 is probably geared more toward acceleration.
