700 raptor wont start.....help

my buddys raptor will not start, its getting fuel and spark. it just cranks and loads up with fuel then backfires through the exhaust. we checked all the fuses and they appear to be good. should we try to change the plug even tho it has good spark?????? any other suggestions??????

ya definately start by changing the plug.

Can you hear the fuel pump prime when you turn the key on?

try the plug and make sure the fuel pump is running. If it still doesnt work post back or shoot me a pm ill try and help you out.

Ive had mine since new in 06 been through it a few times lol

If not you should still take the gas tank off and check all the connectors under there. If he has recently put a pcIII on and it wont start then he has the connectors backwards.

no mods. its completely stock. he did haul it in a trailor and didnt put it gear or tie it down (idiot) and it was bangin around. is there some type of fuel shut off that he would have to reset ????

no there is no shutoff or any kind of tip sensor like a streetbike would have that would cause it not to start.

If the pump is working your getting fuel (unless the filter on the bottom of the pump is plugged)

Id try a new plug (make sure its sparking good also) and fresh gas before anything else.

If your getting gas, spark and compression it should run.

ya put a new plug in it. My borthers raptor did the same thing. so i put a new plug in and it fired right up.
