04 pred problem

so i was out riding the other day and my bike just died on me and wouldn't start again. so my friend pulled me back to his house and it started but would die if you gave it gas. so today i put a plug in it because thats was bad and took it out and 15-20 min into riding it did the same thing but wont start at all now. pulled the plug back out and its good..... any help would be amazing
