Thanks..
On the big dbl,he is clearing the gap, but not the entire thing. He clears the gap and about an extra 5 feet. Its about 65+ on this jump.
There is another jump thats a table that he is very close to clearing-that jump is 45-50 ft. Hes bummed because they are changing up the track so he wont get another opportunity to try it out again, but maybe they will do something cool for the next race with the track.

In the last pic on the left is that a kid on a 450 or a 90mod

Posted by: JAG Motosports

The kid on the left is on a Honda 450r. Jordan's doing his best to keep up with him. The track is at Hardrock Cycle Park in Florida. It's a practice track and the only track that Jordan and his best bud can ever ride together due to the difference in quad size. I ride an LTR450 and believe it or not I couldn't keep up with them (for very long-not as young as I used to be). They were flying!

Can a 12 year old or what ever age he is ride a 450 easily?

Posted by: JAG Motosports

He's 13 and kinda small but he is a VERY good rider. The 450 is a lot of bike but he seems to handle it. He usually gets 1st or 2nd place at all of the tracks he goes to.

dblacks, You must have one heck of a fast quad, I recognize the #428 and #997 and them dads got them pulling real good. So to be outrunning them to turn one is impressive. Wanna let me in on your secret?

Posted by: dblacks

Thnaks, He was 2nd overall last weekend, 997 and 428 are definately two quads to beat as they run great just like 4 or 5 other kids up here at NEATV, all could be or have been competative at National races. Drew has recovered from his broken collar bone so he can run with the top kids.

secret is in the popsicles we give him......lol

What track is that ?? Is that outside of SLC?
We went and looked at a couple tracks while on vacation awhile back .
Te place Im thinking of there was a big asphault raceway there and the dirt track was next to it.
One of these days we want to come down for a wk end to race.

Posted by: racerdad199

It is the big track in Tooele, UT. There is only one race a year on this track, the rest of the series is just to the east and it is an arena cross. It is about 25 miles west of Salt Lake City. Devin was practicing out here with his two favorite pro riders Robbie Mitchell and Davey Lindsay.

The place that I think you are referring to is Rocky Mountain Raceway, that is in Salt Lake.

Yup, that was the one!
I really liked the track in Ogden we saw too, that one was set up real nice and the dirt looked very nice when we watched some of the bikes hitting it.

We like to keep our wheels on the ground a little more. Here's Kellen, aka K-Dub at a hare scramble:

LOL Thats my favortie too.
I got a shot of around 8 bikes lined up watching him hit it over and over.. that was a fun day riding.

BTW.. looks like a real nice riding spot ya'll were at!
Most of our riding here is desert,we have to go a little ways to get into the trees here.

Just got back from our last dune trip for the season (getting too hot). Geez, just realized he looks kinda small on the 90...

From 4/26/09 AMA D15 hare scramble.

Kellen(11) on the orange DRX90 trying to lap Colben(6) on the red one. Kellen followed Colben for two laps, yelling and trying to pass. At least they didn't take each other out! They are cousins, after all!!!

You know, I was looking at that picture of the woods and I was thinking I would ask you if that was at Plymouth but I didn't. Then I saw what the date was and it was a D-15 hare scramble and then I knew it was. My daughter raced the last one of the year there last year and had a blast. She is bugging me about going again so we will have to get out soon.

Posted by: 3400ben

It was a good time. There was 15 kids showed up one couldn't race because he broke his hand at the first race. There was four girls and the rest boys. We camped out and let the kids ride the night before it was a good time. Hope to see at the next race in september.

Marc keeps giving him more power
Which means I get to practice my welding more
He broke his frame in 2 places on this jump
His 3rd frame on this bike
Marc should buy the next one

It gets worse, this is Kyle’s first year on a 300ex, we got lucky at Steel City nats there was exactly twenty and didn‘t have to qualify .You talk about a silly feeling when that one card went sideways and nineteen of the best quads and riders (and Kyle) are half to three quarter throttle WOW all I could think was what have I got my boy into.

Ive watched both my kids have some nasty wrecks in recent years,3 of which required an ER visit and one surgery since last year . Ive talked to a few Moms at the track and they say they sometimes get to where they can hardly watch there kids race anymore because of fear.
This year is my Daughers first year on a 450(her 1st Nat is this wk end on it ) so Im sure Ill be fighting a good migraine this wk end from stressing out .

You can else use a photo host such as photobucket or resize them with irfanview and post them up w/o a host.
Sizing must be 600x 400 pixels or smaller.

I pay for a host and use the IMG tags for mine .

Just found this pic. This is a completely stock 2008 DRX 50 Limited class quad. This was taken this past spring before we had to put the quads in storage due to me deploying for a year. This is my oldest son. He will be moving up to the 70cc once I get one built or bought for him when I return next summer. Be safe everyone and have fun.

Thanks guys, just wish they could have been out there the rest of this season. Who know how much more they would have advanced skillwise this year. Another thing, he only gets to ride on race weekends so no pratice in between. It is one of those luxuries of being in the military and no land. I just miss seeing them having so much fun.
