If you want to see how the DS90X runs with the new exhaust, CDI, and rear clutch from Maximum RPM, check out the video of my son on You Tube. Paste...........http://www.youtube.com/results?sear...0x&search_type=
or search using "can-am ds90X"
We love the quad but we're still searching for more power, mainly when pulling the inclines. Here's the negative part. During that ride in the video, we broke both rear fender suports AND cracked the rear fender plastic under the seat by the triangular graphic sticker on both sides. I mean big cracks too. I'll post a PIC later. I guess we'll get to see what BRP will be willing to do with that. I highly recommend adding a support off the rear nerf bar kick plate up to the rear fender......kinda like how they secured the front fender/kick plate but smaller. If you flex the fenders you'll see where the highest stress part is and it lacks some support. We also broke the rear sprocket skid plate and the blue ring on the rear shock. Due to all that we didn't make the GNCC in NC this weekend. That was going to be my son's first race but we hope to have everything fixed by the April 12th race in Union SC.

How would you say the quad ran with the new upgrades? Where did it help in the powerband. Have you thought about changing the tire sizes or maybe going with a smaller sprocket for more top end?
By the way nice video!

As tmf has stated, get rid of those huge tires on the rear. Get you some Douglas's and good ole' 18" snowhogs and be done. LESS ROTATING MASS. IMHO.
p.s. shhhhh - I like 4 strokes. don't tell my DRR buddies. LOL

Nice video.
Looks like durhamtown you were riding at?

Yeah, if you listen to the motor it never hits the higher rpms. I still have a lot of fooling around to do with the clutch, tires, and sprockets to get the right gear ratio for what the motor has to offer. I hate to go to smaller diameter tires for GNCC but it would definitely be better on the MX tracks. I like the extra ground clearance for GNCC. The quad can really go through some bad mud and ruts without any trouble. Good call on Durham Town............ that's where we ride most of the time. Excellent facilities.
The mods were well worth it and we're working on more. This 4-stroke stuff is all new to me. I'm an old 2 stroke, 2 wheel racer myself but he enjoys 4 wheels and we've had great times together (of course I had to trade the two wheels in for a YFZ450 for myself.)
The mods improved acceleration pretty significantly. We still have some adjustments to try on the clutch.
BTW......... for CVT beginners like me, I found a good article talking about the basics of the CVT clutch and adjustments on off-road.com, search for CVT clutch tuning

Wow! That's some heavy reading on the CVT tuning. I am going to have to read this several times before I try it. Sounds interesting though. Have you tried tweaking on your CVT?
