Clips that hold plastic together?

Ok, before I go about this the wrong way on my band new('07) 400ex, what is the trick to popping out the little plastic rivets/clips holding the plastics together? I have only briefly looked and have not yet had the time to try removing them yet, but they seem different from those on the Z400 I got rid of to buy my EX .
I have a pipe and jet kit coming soon and want to be prepared before I go yanking on things to get to the carb.

I used a flat head screw driver to pry them out. They are not very hard at all and there are only four 10mm bolts to get the front fenders off, 2 6mm allen bolts for the 2 side panels.

Just remember to put the ones near the gas tank on BEFORE you get everything else put back together because it was a tight fit for my hands and a pain in the arse.

i use sidecuts. just pry the jaws under the head of the push rivet. dont squeeze the cutters tho

Next time you're buying OEM stuff add a couple bags of those to your order.

I just got a bag from RMATV. They have their own brand that works quite well.

Some skinny-nosed plyers, or a knife will work.
