400ex piston and sleeve in my 250x, it would be a 325 but will the piston fit on the rod?

Posted by: bad ex

nope the piston will not fit the 250x crank, and the sleeve is most likely to long to fit in the cylinder, and i think that the piston would be way to big for the 250x head, hope this helps .kevin

if i recall correctly, but dont quote me,

the 400ex cylinder will work,

but i know for a fack a 400ex piston wont work, because the wristpin diameter on the 300ex/250x is too small for the piston

what about a 350x piston and sleeve

Posted by: bad ex

you would have to use the 350x piston, sleeve, and con rod on the 300ex crank,i wanted to do this but i'm not sure if it would be reliable.kevin

whats the differance between the 250 and 300 rod? none if i remember but i learn new **** every day

My 385ex actually uses a 400ex cylinder sleeve with a 86mm je piston.I did have to clearance the cases a bit for it to drop in.The 300ex uses a 17mm wrist pin.The 350x piston uses a 21mm wrist pin so thats out.4 stroke tech makes a big bore kit for the 250x/300ex that uses a 86mm piston but it has a 18mm wrist pin. You'll have to get a rod pressed on your crank from a 250es(big red)3 wheeler to run it though. The big end of the rod fits the 250x crank journals.
