im getting a 03 crf motor and would a 450r carb work with the motor

the carb (all year models) will work but u will have to rewire the throttle position sensor. the 04-05 is a round slide with butterfly (42mm), and the 06-08 is a flat slide more like the crf carb(40.5 mm). the flat slide carb will have a little better throttle response.
