ok i have custom axis long travel with laeger t-pin front end on a LSR frame the thing is i have changed front springs twice and the softer (260lbs) i go the better the ride on ruff mx tracks like mills creek al but bad in whoops but that's ok so how soft can you go before your handling gos away

Typically you adjust the compression so that you just bearly bottom out the shock on the obsticle that will cause the biggest shock impact. If you do that, then you know you are using the shocks travel to its fullest potential and you will have the smoothest ride. I hope that indirectly answers the question about the spring.
