250x 300ex transmission

Service honda lists different part numbers for 300ex transmission parts then 250x transmission parts. Does anyone know if the 300ex transmission parts will fit in a 250x? All the parts look to be near exact.

i don't see why they would'nt be the same,it's almost the same motor,they both are 5 speed w/reverse,but ones kick and the other is electric,the cranks are different.i think i sould a 300ex tranny to a guy on ebay that had a 250x,but you could look in a service manual to see. kevin
