JUST BOUGHT A BLASTER FULLY APART. KID SAID THE PISTON BLEW. SO HERE I AM THINKING ON WHAT TO DO. I AM HOPING TO PUT A PISTON IN IT WITH NEW RINGS AND HOPE IT WILL KICK OVER. IS THIS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH BLASTERS?

common problem? it would depend on why it blew. rebuilding a 2 stroke top end is normal maintenence.

stay away from wiseco pistons, they blow waaay too easy, stock is the one to run
my blaster was modded very heavily

and we ran the stock piston the entire time, never had any problem and came out with a #1 in the 450 Jr. class
rebuilding is an easy procedure, doesnt take very long at all

is there any threads with steps to take on a rebuild?

buy a clymer manual, you won't regret it.

wiseco is proble the best aftermarket piston. i went a whole season on it and never had a problem but stock is better my dads has a 88 blaster that has never had the top end off it and it still runs great some how....

Nothing wrong with either the Wiseco, stock piston or a cast piston, its all about whos doing the bore job fitting a new one & who ever it is with their foot on that kick starter.
Operating riders destory blaster pistons in not knowing if the jets are right on the day or night they are riding & over revving the engine.
Its an old school tech engine & if your going to run it like a modern type engine of today then its got to be built differently.
