yeah if the bike is newer.. like only a couple times starting it.. the pipes will be red.. after the bike has a couple hours on it the pipes shouldnt get as red.

Its normal even after they have hours. Do yourself a favor and get a fuel programmer if you dont have one already. they come lean out of the box. The controller will help.
You could light a cigarette on mine at idle until i got it dialed in
