Jetting question, about main jet out of the cup..

Hey i was just wondering how to take the main jet out of the cup around it, when i just try to un-screw the jet the pilot comes out with it, and i don't want to guess, because guess work can end up costing a decent amount of money, i was thinking i just put a wrench on the lower part and proceed with un screwing it and maybe the cup comes out with it, but whoevers jetted there own carb will instantly know, so i look forward to the tips, thanks

ull need a flathead screwdriver and a 8mm open end wrench. hold the the cup with the wrench then unscrew the jet. carefull... dont tear up the inside of the jet its made of brass...
