question i have a stock 250r the only thing done do it is reeds, sparks mx pipe and it come with a 39mm carb(little big imo)
i also read here that a reed spacer is needed to make the connection from boot to boot.(useing a 39mm)
but i have also read that a spacer is a no no for bottom end.
so the question is can i put that spacer on the back side of the cage, putting the reeds in stock postion,or will lengthing the intake that 1/4 of a inch hurt airflow ?

Most of the time reed spacers are use with a CR250 reed cage and intake boot because they are shorter then OEM 250R parts. You should not need one just because you are usiug a 39 PWK carb. I have heard reed spaces do nothing, they help bottom end or they help smooth out a pipy motor. I don't use them, but thats just one opinion.
