i have a 2001 400ex frame with a 2002 xr650 motor in it. The motor has a je piston (102mm 10.25:1) stock is 100 mm, Stage 1 hot cam, renthal bars, dg nerf bars, 450r plastics, electric start, and a k&n filter and box top with prefilter. the tires are in pretty good shape and are on alluminum rims i believe they are itp's. Let me know what you guys think its worth im going to be selling it pretty soon once i get it out of storage so if anyone is interested let me know also consider trades.

anyone have any ideas on what i should ask for this quad? this is my first hybrid and i dont know much about the pricing of them.

iv seen 450 hybrids go for like 5000 to 6000

Well... umm... i dont know for pricing... but from what i see on the pic... those arent itp rims they are stock rims. and the plastics aren't 450r plastics, they are the stock 05-07 400ex plastics.

Just looked at the quad and the front rims are ITPs and the rear rims are D.I.Ds. As for the plastics go they may very well be 05-07 400ex plastics i dont know for sure. I got the quad with them on it. I thought they were 450r plastics. As 450r and the new 400ex plastics are close to the same. Thanks for letting me know about this .

good luck, been trying to sell our ex/yz426 hybrid for a year and have dropped the price to $3500 with no takers. the quad is almost all after market except the frame, got about 20 grand in the quad and cant sell it.

I would say $3000 max. I got my used 400ex in 2003 for $5500 and then put $10,000 into it and ran a yz426 motor totalying 15,000. It wouldnt even sell for $3500. I parted it and made a little under $4000.
Hybrids lost their value once the 450s came out. Most hybrids are better than 450 quads in every way but people dont realize that and stick to 450 quads now.

But that 650 quad would be a good start to a desert race quad build.
