If you guys with the 300ex's think your card is small, check out how tiny the LT230s carb is next to it.

I'm going to use the 300ex carb as an upgrade on my Suzuki Lt230s project. Looks like it will be a big improvement! The first pic has the 300ex carb with the 230 intake on it. The second just shows the size difference.

LOL, well I got it to fit and boy what a difference!!! The only problem is that I had to do frame and intake mods. This is not a job for the average backyard mechanic. I'll post up some pics someday. I also have a 400ex exhaust fab'ed up too. Between the bigger carb, exhaust, piston, compression and porting this little bugger runs good!

FYI the title is supposed to say pics, not pis hahaha.

Sweet I think I just might have to do it too. How was the power and can you give me the installation directions.
Thanks

Oh I forgot. did you have to do anything to the jetting

lets see some pics when done.....

I'll post up some pics soon and talk about it a little. Jetting right now is 38 pilot, 2 turns out, middle clip on the needle and 148 main. It runs so nice! Starting is pathetically easy too. I pump the throttle a couple times, pull the decomp lever and 1 kick she starts.

I apologize for not cleaning up the quad better for the photo shoot but here you go. First pic is the over all for the intake and the other 2 point out the madness.

There's an inch of overlap in that intake tube joint so it's not as hackish as it looks.

I used the 300ex throttle and cable.

Here's the 400ex muffler. It actually sounds nice with the cheap ebay tip and has plenty of flow being it was made for a 400. I did have to install a lower mount on the subframe where I used a rubber exhaust mount from an old Tri-Z250. I also welded up an adapter made from part of the old muffler.
