Curious to hear from owners of 02 Raptor, did the new trans. ratios make a big difference in its performance????????

I know they will get the jump on a 01 about then they even out after 3rd gear.

that's cool.... I had read about and talked to some 01 Raptor owners who said the gap between 1st and 2nd was pretty tall and that it kinda sucked........ I guess the 02's have remedied this........ I bet it's a pretty fun ride......

I personally haven't ridden it but from what the '02 owners are saying it's a dramatic improvement over the '01 ratios. The gears have been spaced better and are a bit lower than the '01. Because of this the '02 Raptor will lose drag races to the '01 (or at least that's what the '02 guys are reporting). I'd give up my top speed for the better ratio anyday.
