I'm new to the sport quad segment and was thinking about trading my '05 Recon 250es for a Raptor 350. My friend is getting a '08 Wolverine 450 and I was wondering since I'm giving up 70 cc's but at a lighter weight is the 350 still enough to take out the 450 Wolverine? And am I gunna be happy with the power of the 350 or outgrow it pretty fast? Thanks in advance guys!!

I would say that the raptor 350 is slow. If you want a good power plant to hang with the 450 go 400ex. The 400ex is also easy to up grade. I would say to your ? no, the wolverine would walk all over the raptor 350.

Thanks. I was thinking about the 400ex but I am also thinking about the Raptor 700. I rode a YFZ450 last week and loved the power. But hearing about it lugging on trails worries me. I do about 95% of my riding om trails.

If your looking in the raptor 700 or yfz 450 don't brother with the 350. But for the price the 400ex is the best buy.

i have an 08 raptor 350 an love it. you cant break the thing an they have a ton of power. an have no prob on the trails. they are a lil slow just in over all speed cause of the gear ratio but they have a ton of acceleration

I ended up getting a 2008 400EX. The 350 Raptor felt very weak even compared to the 300EX. I'm extremely happy with my decision. I got some mods done to it already, and a lot more on the way
