Hey, I need some help here Guys/Girls. Anybody that knows exactly that needs to be done and or how to Swap 300EX plastic with 400EX plastic "PM" or "REPLY" to this post! Thanks. Here is what I need to know from anybody who knows what they are talking about!

I have a 2002 300EX Red. I dont think you will need to know that thoguh!

1. What brackets will have to modified or made?
2. Any welding involved?
3. Will it be shakey?
4. Any Bad rubbing going to happen with plastic and tire, metal, etc.?
5. If I just swap the front 300EX plastic with 400EX Plastic, will the plastic mesh together where it meets the rear plastic?

PS. I am looking for crrappy 400EX plastic to test it first so if you guys got any old front and rear or just front 400EX plastic that would be a great help "PM" with a price.

ALSO. . .If you have any aftermarket parts that u will be willing to sell to me I probably will but them, exspecially tires, I need two rear 20 inch tires!

okay, you have to get a 400ex seat. You need to cut the gastank hole bigger for the bigger cap. Next the gas shutoff switch needs to be cut out bigger because it doesn't line up. the right side doens't line up so u either need to weld new brackets on or drill and tap the frame. Then i don't know about the brackets but there are going to be some replacing and new ones. I tryed it, but way too much work for me. I just put the lights on mine so it looks pmip. If you r interested i got the side covers, gastank plastic, and the rear plastic for sale. All yellow, in exelxent shape. Any reasonable offer accepted.

ok the top picture shows the bracket i had to make to get the front of the seat to stick to the tank. On the bottom of the 400ex seat there is a plastic eyelet that hooks onto a knob thing on the gas tank. The maier plastic comes predrilled so the bracket will only need to be drilled to fit the holes on the plastic. it hooks onto the tank cover.

the second picture show the other bracket type thing i made, this part is where the plastic bolts onto the side of the frame on the right side, the plastic comes drilled with one hole, and where the frame has the hole for the bolt there is no plastic. I made the bracket out of a sheet of aluminum, and three bolts, two have nuts on the back of them. Thats all you have to do to get the 400ex plastic to fit, and on the bottom of the seat where the 300ex uses nuts to hold the seat to the plastic the 400ex uses bolts, so you will have to buy some of those also. All in all its worth it.

And f you want i could prolly whip up some of those brackets for about 20 bucks.
