Anyone know the valve lash for a 2004 rancher 400? What about the torque specs? Thanks!

I can help there..
The valve adjuster lock nut torque spec is 12 ft-lb.

As for lash, the engine needs to be cold while checking the valve clearance..the book says below 95f. The motor needs to be top dead centre (TDC) on the compression stroke. If you have it TDC and both rocker arms are snug, rotyate the motor 360 degrees as you were on the exhaust stroke. The clearance should be 0.15 mm or 0.006 in.
