NCMP - 2/16 - "reversed" track pics

These are pictures I took while watching the quad races at NCMP yesterday. Sorry to say, my primary focus was not on individual riders. I was more interested in getting shots of the riders who hitting the jumps. For those who don't know, NCMP recently reversed the direction of the track and changed the jumps.

Another...if you look closely, there is a step-up that goes into a tabletop. It is fairly easy on a quad. A few bikes clear the entire distance...I am guessing 100 feet.

another...

next...this is a very cool setup and you can't see all of it in the pic. You come around a corner and hit a double/step-up then you have a 30-40' straight to hit what you see in the pic. Quads land at the first ramp...bikes hit at the very end.

damn that looks sickkk! Can't wait to go! Im thinking first weekend of march, or the 2nd weekend in march im gonna be there. Saturday at ncmp, then sunday at gaston.

next...

this is about a 50-60' tabletop. The next one must be about 70-80 foot.

Look closely after you go around the turn. There is really nice step-down that allows you to hit the next double...this is really a rhythm-like section...and definitely not whoops. Mark took the old whoop section out.

next...this is the double portion mentioned in the last picture.

Jordan, you mean #00? I thought this guy was in the 40+ class. Pretty much had me thinking I should stop riding.

How old is he?

Posted by: quad2xtreme

next...this is the start.

The chick in the middle should have been racing the guys...she was fast and hitting most of the jumps.

Posted by: quad2xtreme

Mark, the owner of NCMP, is the guy in front.

Posted by: quad2xtreme

better pic of the cool jump I mentioned earlier...you can see the step-up double that then leads to the big step-down jump with two landers.

Good times, lol. And david terell is in youth prod. #61, so maybe that wasnt him. Hes 15, but it sure looks like him.

Yes it's Jeremy. He has been racing quite awhile. I don't think he is over 40 though.

Jordan,

I think I remember him. I would know for sure if I saw a pic. Did you say he was #11? I do remember getting some shots of a guy on a yellow quad but I don't have his number because I was directly to the side and he was above me in the air.

/Jon

last one...

Posted by: quad2xtreme

yes, I remember him. I will dig through my pics again tonight. I am pretty sure I have some sky shots of him. I am not a big fine of these type of pics so I don't take many. I like the pics that have a reference point so you can determine how big a jump is, etc.

Jordan,

What are the rules about how numbers must be displayed? Does the front require a number plate or can you just have your number on the hood?

Does the color of the background or numbers make any difference?

Thanks,

Jon

you HAVE to have one on the rear and on the front. You can choose to put one on the hood also, but it is not mandatory. Also the colors dont really make a difference. They dont really enforce the colors, so I dont follow them. Its prob difference in the Nats though.
