I will probably buy a cordless impact gun today (Dewalt because I already have batteries for it) Which size is most preferred 1/4" 3/8" or 1/2". There seem to be plenty of 1/4 and 1/2 on Ebay but the 3/8 are far and few between.

So I guess which one would be more useful 1/4 or 1/2" or doesn't matter.

Thanks,

Darrell

3/8 would be the most useful, 1/2 would be HD you could snap bolts!

3/8 is what I use , same as my common sockets , makes less tools in your box. Mine is a Matco

I have 3/8" and 1/2" drive Snap on cordless impacts. If you plan on using it primarily on mini quads the 3/8" is sufficient.

I have the Ryobi thats interchangable and it is THE BEST tool I own!! I use it 95% of the time 3/8.
I fell 1/2" is too much and barely used and 1/4" tools arnt that tough. You WILL love the tool, cut jobs down to 1/2 just in assembly and dissassembly alone . Get used to howw tight id enough/ too much . Ive broken a few bolts.

OK, looks like 3/8 is the winner.

Thanks guys.

I got the 1/2" dewalt and got the impact reduction down to 3/8

I have not snapped anything off yet so I wouldn't let that deter you and if you have a need for the 1/2" later...you have it. Just a thought and the price is very similar.

I use the 1/2 inch dewalt all the time for swaping atv tires. Have never had a problem. Best tool I have bought of late, as I always have to flip the rear tires around on my quads inorder to fit them in my trailer next to the Rhino. Money well spent.
