.....lol, but really, I do.

Post pics of your shaved fenders on your YFZ's. I am thinking about shaving my fenders but I am not 100% sure, yet.

haha with a name like that of course i had to check this thread out....

but yea, personally i would say keep the fenders, yfz fenders are sexy stock...i dont think they look any better at all shaved. things like z's, kfx's, 400ex's, theres a bunch of quads that need cleaned up but i definitely dont think the yfz is one of them. JMO!!

I agree with ohsobad chevy

i just dont like them
but do what you want

Posted by: ohsobad_chevy

This is how she looks right now, just can't decide if I am going to shave them or not. I like the look of shaved fenders, but I don't know.
I know there are a lot of YFZ's with shaved fenders, post some pics, fellas.

i also have the 07 special edition in black. i want to do the dana creech cut but havent yet, should just do it but it takes a major pair of stones to take a saw to new fenders, you know what i mean.

Posted by: Dr89

haha no kidding, at least wait till you get them scuffed and bent and broken on the edges...lol then you'll making an improvement.

i still say they look really really good the way they are though.

Posted by: Simon MX49

Hit up Spastic Designs at www.spasticdesigns.com Kurt makes some awsome graphics, and will set you up with some bad ***** stuff

I personally think the YFZ looks best with the stock fenders. I'm only going to cut my fenders if they happen to get very scuffed up or broken.

Posted by: yfz450rida

i cut my before i rode it and i love them

not to answer for yfz450rida, but it really doesnt make any difference at all what you cut them with, its the cleanup afterwards that counts. people use all sorts of different things, the first time i did it i wanted to be as precise as possible and used an air dremel with a real fine blade, but it just takes longer. now i just electric tape the lines and zip through it with a regular old wood saw...the cut is rough as chit but then i just file, sand, sand, sand, sand, (which takes like 10 seconds cause its plastic haha) and then touch it up lightly with a propane torch to make it shine like factory

thanks

Posted by: yfz450rida

i taped off where to cut with masking and then to a saw the ones they are electric and cut it then took a round orbit sander with really fine paper and rounded the cut plastic and shaped it straight and then took a lighter to and went over it to shine it thats it. i cut my last bike with the ellis cut but i like this better to provide a little bit more from dirt and mud coming off the tires.

thats the cut I rock. expect I just got new fenders, so I gotta go out and cut them again...

and to the people saying your gonna regret it because of the mud... most of the time if you race, your gonna get muddy anyway, since your wheels are sticking out past the fenders due to widening it.

i agree with above
