What would it take to make the Honda perform well for local level XC races? Does it need all new double A-arm suspension and swinger or can just the shocks be upgraded? Does the motor respond well to simple mods like pipe, carb, cam, or do you have to spend big $$$ to get any power.
My son needs a new bike and I'm not impressed with the off brand stuff for the woods and long term durability.
Do you think any manufacturer will ever give us an exciting kids quad?
I really want to get him a Raptor 250 but he is too young to race it at this time.

the honda responds well to all the usual bolt on mods and can hold its own, however.....a stock DRR 90 will handle better, accelerate quicker and cost less then adding shocks, exhaust, cdi, wheels /tires etc to the honda...been there done that.

the mentioned bolt ons can do alot for the honda, and with a good rider he can be running upfront

in 2005 ours was a basic 90 with all the bolt ons you wanted info on

and when you want to go all out, check robbs racing, he is a big supporter of this site and knows how to make the TRX roll out!

are those 18x10's on the back?

So Pappy, are you saying that you cant beat the DRR for the money. Thats kinda what I thought, I just wish there were more options. The new Can am 90 looks good but I bet its a dog. Anyone think KTM will bring out a kids quad?

the DRR is hard to beat for $3k. out of the box its quick, handles well and DRR supports the sport!

we had one, ran it hard and could have done better on it if we had more time to dial it all in. if i had to pick a 90 to go racing tomorrow with, DRR would be getting the call from me if budget and peace of mind were the biggest issue.
