Hey whats up, well i finished up my latest Walsh build. turned out Very nice, i decided to not go really flashy with it and went with a white and blue color scheme. The pics dont do it justice though, it really looks sweet! Unfortunetly i didnt get any good pics of it, just a couple quick pics before she was shipped out.

That one radiator hose looks like it gets really close to the exhaust.I'm just curious, Do you ever have problems melting them?

Nope, never had a problem with them. The angle in the pic makes it look alot closer than it is though.

I understand that but where dose he find all those walsh frames thats just not somthing you pic up on ebay I knew a guy that way to much money and way to much time was gona build a brand new walsh crf Mike walsh told him he was so busy it would take him at least a year to build a frame. Ive seen alot of used LSR frames but you dont see walsh frames very offen

Hey whats up. Bassically i always kept an eye out for walsh quads or parts for sale for many years. This quad i built was actually built from all spair items i had accumulated over the years, wasnt a complete quad teardown and over hual. I started looking around the shop and realized i had enough walsh chassis parts to just build another one, so this is what i ended up with. Like you said the walsh stuff is sometimes hard to come by and still brings top dollar. Its unmatched with quality and strength, def top notch stuff.

Hey thanks man. That walsh tt 250r was actually a close pro friends of mine. He raced it a handfull of times and it sat bassically on display it whole entire life. Its def a one of a kind quad. I actually had it out the other day and polished it up and changed some other things up on it, ill have to get some new pics of it on here, its def shiny

I dont remember for sure did that have a 265 PV ? A buddy of mine has one of spaders 2000 LSR 350PV OMG!!!!! that thing is crazy I cant imagine having that kinda power hooked up on a TT bike

Since you build so many Walsh bikes I wanted to ask you...do you know what other brand of pro peg nerf bars fit on the chassis other then a/c's? What brand are on the bike in this thread, X factor and what model stock bike are they for? 250r, 400ex, 450r?

as far as nerfs i think its safe to say most frame builders are using a 250r propeg setup meaning anything from an 89 250r will line up and work with little to no modification

and as far as the nerfs on justins bike i believe they are x-factor, or "gibson" as they were sometimes sold as

yes i know the frame based off the 250r but i tried to put x factor nerfs on once and the tubing of the nerfs wouldnt fit over the pro peg mounts on the frame.

Hey whats up. You want to get strickly pro peg nerfs, not 250r pro pegs. Most companies list them as laegers or lonestar pro pegs. They like walsh use the larger pro peg tubing(1 1/4 i think... but dont quote me on it) unlike most of the other companies that used the standard 250r pro peg/nerfs with smaller tubing. I might have a few sets laying around here somehwheres if your looking for a set.

I would imagine Walsh uses 1 1/8" tubing for the frame part of the pro-peg, that's what I use. AC and about evey other nerf manufacturer uses 1" tubes with their kits. The inner diameter of nerfbar tubing is a 1 1/8" slip fit. So if you were to use the 1" tube that comes with a nerf bar that's 1 1/8" it's sloppy from the get-go.

The reason the others use a sloppy fitting tube is for greater tolerances to the masses. If your using the 1 1/8" tubing things need to be real precise or you'll have a whole lot of customers that can't get their nerfs on without beating them with a sledgehammer. And yes the average shmuck will use a sledgehammer (have proof).
