I was just wondering if I would gain anything if I down sided tires on my 300ex?? The stock tires on it look kinda big,but I don't know this is my first 300ex.

if you drop to a 20 inch rear it will accellerate faster but you will lose top speed.

Unless you swap out the front or rear sprocket to regear to the appropriate gearing.

example: if u go down to a 20 or 18", and go up a tooth on the i beleive front sproket, u will be pretty close to where u started

correct me if i am wrong

Correct.

On the 300ex though, if you go up to a 14 tooth front sprocket you have to grind a little bit of of the chain guide/case saver. Easy to do and only need to take off about 1mm.
