How much power will I gain on my 300 EX with the airbox lid off????

you will lose hp with out rejetting it. it wont be anything too drastic a little better throatle response

I wouldnt do it, i go to work with my dad, hes a honda service manager, an i have seen waaaaay to many effed up engines due to dirt and fine sand getting into the motor, and they dont have the airbox lid on.

thats prolly from not maintaining your air filter. if you keep your filter clean and oiled it will be fine.

Meh.. that's just people who don't know how to maintian their filters.

I've been running no airbox lid and a K&N filter on my 300ex for 10 years w/o any issues. If you remove the airbox lid.. remove the drain plug below.. so it doesn't "hold water"
