I have a 2001 660 and im not too sure whats REALLY done to the motor. theres a few engravings on the head and on the valve cover... can anyone tell me what they mean... On the valve cover it reads.... 080-031 On the head it reads.... X3-191 any info would be great....

usually aftermarket parts will have a name stamped on them. like ct, trinity for example.

the numbers you see are probably just casting numbers.

are they carved into the metal or raised out?

Best way to find out what you got is tear it down lol. Id wait until its time for a rebuild before that though if it were me.
