Hi just got 2007 300ex.I was just wondering if it is to small for me.I am 21 years old and about 145 pounds.when I jump it it feels better then my old z400 & the power is about the same.

I'm 5'11" and just under 200 lbs and I ride a 300 but it doesn't have stock suspension. With a shock upgrade anyone can ride a 300 for the most part. I'm not sure how you can say the 300ex's power is the same as the z400 though. The 400 is MUCH faster. The z400 has much better factory shocks too. It sounds like you are happy with the quad though and that's all that really matters. I say just enjoy it and upgrade only when you really feel the need. I have been riding mine since 2001 and never really get bored with it...of course more power would be nice at times but 300ex's are great trail machines and the ergos and comfort are hard to beat.

I guess it depends on where you ride. I would say HMF w/quiet core if you are worried about noise or the sparks x4 if you like it loud or do any closed circuit racing (mx.xc.etc...). They may have a quiet core for the sparks now but I'm not sure. I have the older version sparks x4 that uses a disk type spark arrestor system that makes it much quieter than the race version w/ open endcap but I don't think they make mine anymore. Make sure you get a full system and not a slip on though. The headpipe is very restrictive on the 300. Most of the full systems on the market really wake up the 300 but you'll want to avoid the cobra and low priced DG systems.
