What model quad is that exhaust for? im trying to find one for my CRF hybrid.

you will still have to make the bracket to bolt the silencer to the sub frame.

just curious on the laeger: I noticed the rear isn't a flipper. You know where the rear plastic doesn't flip up so you can kick the quad. seen quite a few of these, thats the first one I have seen without that
Posted by: racernorris
i elected not to go with a flip, built a couple laegers with flips, they all had the same complaint, if they cased a jump or just a hard landing the seat would pop up and they had to slow down enuff to latch the seat back. all you have to do is run the yz250 start lever and trim the fender a little!!!

keep the plastic up and the rubber down!!!!

you said you built that one in 2004, I take it that it was a 250r that had been converted? or did you buy it from somebody?
Posted by: racernorris
i bought this frame from baldwin, he said tim had won this frame for winning the 2002 championship, it was the last frame mark laeger built at that time, later allen knolls of ct racing talked mark laeger into useing his frame jigs to build laeger frames, from the best i can tell there were only a few ct frame actually built, i also built one of the ct frame crf450s, its almost the same as this one, one of my customers in augusta ga. has it now. this frame was built for a 2003 crf450 motor!

look at the swing arm and how the shock mounts in the frame!
its very close to a yfz shock set up, and of course a lot of birt bikes.

Posted by: quadpornstar
yeah, I noticed that. those laeger quads with the cr500 link swinger work extremely well. you can really push those bikes hard. IMO, when these quads are set-up correctly, its hard to make a mistake

whats the chances of gettin some pics of the front motor mounts? what kind of nerf bars are you running? I had I set of AC's on mine, and they are trashed. got the quad apart right now, and I should order a set while i am thinking about it
Posted by: racernorris
i have a set of x factor nerfs, but u can't get them any more, ac still makes propegs for laeger and lone star frames (pro peg frames). i will take some pics of the motor mounts, the top mounts are the stock crf450 mounts, there is a tower in front of the motor in the frame with two stainless mounts that bolt from the motor to the frame. u can see the bottom mounts in the chassie pic in my last post.
thanks norris

what did you use for a radiator and airbox, and are those 400ex calipers?
Posted by: racernorris
the brakes are 250r, the mounts in the frame for the radiator are also 250r, the radiator is after market, (grey moument) i can't remember what brand right now. the air box is a stock 250r modified. the pro-trx spindles are set up for 400ex brake calipers, but i used after market mounting brackets on 250r calipers for the front. the rear axle, hubs, carrier, anti fade, and caliper is 250r, the rear master cyclinder is crf450r, and the brake pedal is pro design.
