i completely shredded my reverse sensor with the chain on my 05 raptor. can i somehow eliminate having a sensor?

Just take the green/white wire that originally went to the reverse switch and connect it to a good, clean ground point on the frame. THe reverse limiter will now be disabled, but the reverse light will not work either. No problems for the bike though.

Just don't try to go full throttle in reverse, you will hurt yourself.
