Ok I was thinking about converting my ER to a R because here in canada,Honda sell only the ER.

So I have the list of part that I need.Somebody told me to use a 05 kickstart because they are 60$ cheaper and the only issue is to grind to clear the clutch cover. That's true??

Another one was talking about a condenser to help its start because when you take off the battery, and try to kick it,there not enough juice to sparks the plug then a condenser is needed to compense the battery.

How about the hotstart?? my carb doesn't have one

There nothing special I need to know before call the parts??

why take the battery off? have the best of both worlds, i have the kick start fitted to mine works great don't know about the 05/06 kicker

It is true on the kick lever, you will have to grind some.
I know a guy that drilled his carb for the hotstart cable and it does work...
Not sure on the condensor, I just went back to a kicker and it solved all my problems...
