Any good ideas to get a stripped bolt off the base of the cylinder head? its really bad we used locking wrenches and liquid wrench the next thing to do is to cut it off but i dont want to? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

re thread it with a tap and die set and put 2 interlocking nuts and then get the correct size spanner for the nut and turn it until it comes loose. (heat up the base as your doing it)

have u tried heating it up and using mole grips if that dosnt work?

Hey its a stripped nut on the end of the rod thats goes into the base of the cases. The nut is located just below the last 2 to 3 air-reeds, coolant reeds. i cant get at it.

^? coolant reeds, air reeds?

are you on about the crank "rod"?

its this bolt

I mean its that nut not the bolt....idk why I keep puttting down bolt !! But yea it sucks cause you cant get the socket wrench in there and the nut was so soft even with the right size wrench it just slipped off like nothing I was pissed.

Im going to buy a "nut Buster" for it. ill let you know.

you're going to have to replace the stud too! don't take a chance on it still being okay to use.

Posted by: yfzrider310

yea that isnt that hard is it?

I stand corrected, i thought that you had stripped the threads on the nut, not the wrench flats, which after reading thoroughly i see that is what your dealing with. if you can get a nut buster on it you should be all set. be thankful it wasn't the opposite corner!

Yea idk there all kinda screwed up I could only get one bolt off!

all done! worked perfictly!
