Am i the only one that didnt notice the new rpm axle isnt centered. It longer on the left side.Someone pointed this out to me yesterday. Thanks dusty

it has the same offset as one of the 3 different axles that DRR makes, but is adjustable to match all 3, so you can offset either side to fit your application. you might be suprised to know that the original axle was not centered on many 07 and 08 models.

Was no surprise to me!

The off set is for the flat track guys lol

Woah,I never noticed that.I just checked mine and needed to pull the small spacer off the left side to make it even. Thanks for the heads up

so to make it as wide as a dc long travel front, you cannot center the axle? this makes no sense to make a wider aftermarket axle that you cannot make as wide as the aftermarket front end, and still square the bike up. I tried taking the small spacer out of the left side, which helps some, but it dont seem right.

we have set up quads the same width front and rear and they won't turn nearly as good when the rear is a few inches narrower.

The offset was always a fun issue to explain to the customer!

Humboldt hills is right , we never want the rear axle as wide as the frnt , that will not work well. The RPM axle will center with the stock stance or 1 wider than stock (by moving spacers), which would be the most we would ever want a 44-45" wide front. If you really want to get perfection you can make a couple of 1/4" spacers and have adjustments in smaller increments .

we haven't really had a problem with them, most of our riders race harescrambles, and the extra length makes them prone to clip trees and bend stuff, so we narrow them with the 50cc arms and axle. More sturdy and easier to fit thru the tight stuff.

So is it possible with these axles that you need to remove the short spacer on the left side to make it correct? My front measures right on 44" and the rear is at 43" and it seems to be centered that way.It just seems odd to have to run different spacers on each end to make it right.

I know in stock form, the front is 44 and the rear is 41 on the 90's
and on the 50/70's they are
41 front and 38 rear.

Hi Jason ,
Try 42" and compare, pull the 1" spacer out on left and 1/2" spacer out on right side , this will keep you center and depending on tires should put you at 42" , this will usually corner a little better.

Thanks Marc,I will mess with it when I get home tonight and see what I come up with.

No problem Ken.
And yes it is fun trying to explain it to the customer. They request spacers to be made and cut down to center it.

This post was not to voice any unhappiness with the RPM axle but to show that things are not as they appear.

I just put the same spacers on each side and thought it would be the same.

I have since taken the small spacer of the left side and its now fine and is about 2inches narrower than the front.

Infact this axle has more ajustment than any other i have seen and works very well for both mx and gncc applications.
