Mounting Nerf Bars???

I'm still looking for a set of nerfs for my KFX and Ive pretty much narrowed it down to the ProArmor and AC pro pegs, I think
Does anyone know how each of these mount in front? I looked @ UM racing nerfs, I've used there products before and they fit very well(compared to AC), but their mounting instructions say to drill through the motor mounts
making sure to stay exactly in the center as to not weaken them
kinda scares me. I know Rath makes very nice stuff but there is no way I'm gonna spend $400.00+ on a set of nerf bars and heel guards, I also looked at the IMS ones and they would be over $500.00.

i have rath nerfs and heelguards i love them. they were a little bit of a pain to put on but so is every nerf i dont know about UM or AC but raths need NO DRILLING at all

not sure if these are the ones your considering, these mount using the a arm bolt, and other existing brackets, no drilling

i have the ac pro pegs and i like them alot. they where a little tough to get put on but look great

That's what I was looking for? Mod440ex where to the AC nerfs attach in the front? I cant tell from from the picture.

i will get you some pics as soon as my battery on my camera charges a little. but if i remeber right it mounted throught the back holes on the lower control arms.

yeah they mount to the back of the bottom a arm bolt

here is the clutch side

here is where the pegs mount

the only drilling i had to do was on the bar that hold the peg for the 2 bolts on each side

I like the way the AC nerfs mount in front but I thought the portion behind the pegs were nets on the AC's. My buddy just got a set for his 525irs and they were nets front and rear. Have they changed recently or do certain models use solid heel guards?

I'm a buddy now
Hee Hee.
Anyways, Does anyone have the DG nerfs? If so how do they mount up front? Is it similar to others??

I COULDNT TELL YOU IF DIFFERENT MODELS HAVE NETS. I WOULD THINK THAT WOULD CATCH ALOT OF STICKS AND STUFF FROM THE TIRES.

I think I'm going to go with the AC pro pegs. Anyone know where I can get them for less than $300.00?

keep an eye on ebay. there's a guy on there that sells AC blems at a reduced price. I got mine for $125 and the only thing wrong was they had some scuffs on them. I have purchased some for my YFZ450 and only thing wrong with them was a mounting tab for the webbing was welded at an angle.
here is a pic of mine:

The AC nerfs are really nice but have a friend there to help you as you need someone to pull the bars forward while you replace the A-arm bolt . I have been jumping a lot and they are holding up very well .
Also get a pro armor swing arm skid plate , the AC Racing one is very weak and bends when you hit a rock which caused me to crash . The pro armor one is way better built . This is what one rock did to the AC Racing skid plate .

AC Racing on the left and Pro Armor skid on the right .

i have pro armor fat peg nerfs. they are great no problems yet, seem real strong from what i can tell so far. i had no drilling, but it was a tight fit. but everything is a tight fit.

You got it backwards, the Pro Armor is on the LEFT and the AC is on the RIGHT.
