I have read how if you run an aftermarket filter with exhaust and lid off you will run lean w/out CB and EFI controller. I have a HMF slip on, Pro design intake with K&N filter, lid off. I only run a cherry bomb and it seems to run well. It does not pop or give me any indication it is running lean. I would like to make sure I am not hurting the motor running it like this. I have run it this way since new in 06. Thanks for your help.

Just the cherry bomb will be fine. No need for better fuel managment with those mods. IMO

The only way to be sure is to put your LTR on a dyno, from my experience his LTR is probably running lean.

yep mine was lean with dasa vilocity filter and cherry bomb according to dyno so waiting to get paid then a power commander is going on it , the cherry bomb is now in the bin
