Which shops can do the oil modifiction to 2004 yfz450. Does everyone have problems with their 2004-2007 yfz 'splash design' system for lubricating the wrist pin and crank? Thank, John

I ve raced my yfz three years without the oil mod and I ve never had any problems. TC does not recomend doing the oil mod.

i know a lot of people havent had problems...

i think where a lot of people ran into problems was when they got into heavy engine mods... i think it lubricates a stock engine just fine...

Thanks for your help i have CT racing engine work done to my motor so i will call them tomorrow and see what they think.

It's hit and miss! A friend of mine bought his bike back in December of 04, I got mine a couple months later. His bike didn't make it a year before the writstpen snapped. I've never had a problem with mine due to wristpen lubrication. On the other hand, another friend of mine on a newly built 05 wristpen seized after only 2hrs of riding.

Here is one place i found that does it. Ebay item # 29019601546
for $200 sounds better than a new motor.
