buy a manual!

there have been some questions on here lately with answers that do not give the right information.
the best thing you can buy for any machine is the service manual or the clymer manual. it should be the first thing you buy for your machine, most of the time having a manual right there would give you the answer to your questions.

if after you read the manual and still have questions then you can ask a question and know if the reply is b.s. or not.

I have learned alot by just flipping thru my manual when its nasty outside and I am sitting there bored. The best investment I have made in my z.

Why? If you do a search on Z400central you can get a free downloadable version. Print out the pages you need for the job and do work.

I agree manual of any kind is a must, step by step instructions, torque settings and pattern, grease point, etc... I have the Kawasaki Service Manual it's tricky to find things quick but still very handy. I've also found any number of sites, I personally go to bikebandit.com, have OEM part finders that are great they give prices and very good detais of all parts. I order there all the time and get delivery to the house because the local shop doesn't stock ****!!
