does anyone know what the stock setting for the air fuel screw is on a 2005 ltz 250 i was told 2 1/2 turns out but it seems like to much.

2 1/2 turns is probably a good place to start.

With the engine warmed up, turn the screw in (or out, as necessary) to get the peak RPM (no Tach needed, just listen to the engine) at idle.

If needed, adjust the idle RPM back down with the twist knob by the float bowl and re-adjust the mixture screw for peak RPM, etc..

When you've finished that procedure, back the screw out about an 1/8 of a turn to keep it on the rich side.
