Hey guys, I'm a newbe to the ATV world. I am coming from the street bike scene. So I have a few questions. How should I go about removing the cover for the pilot screw (air/fuel mixture). I bought a Jd Jetting kit for my 08 outlaw. Right now I'm running a 165 jet, red rod clip 5 from the top and stock setting on pilot screw. I live in Oregon and ride between 3000-6000 ft in elevation. FMF pipe and a pro K&N. Any suggestions, Bike is running good but not as good as it should. (not very strong on the bottom end) Do you think it's because of the pilot screw needs to be out more?

The above is the cleanest. Other option is to loosen and turn the carb sideways. Thread a metal screw 1 to 1.5 turns in to the metal plate grab hold with some plyers and pull.

Thanks for your guy's help. I took off carb and punched out the plug. set air/fuel screw at 1 1/2 out. put in leak jet and the thick accelerator pump band. Took it out for a quick spin and much better. acceleration seem evened out. rips through each gear with out bogging. THANKS
