I just traded away my 400ex to a freind for a 05 yfz450 and riding it i love the new found power BUT,when i hit the throttle from a stand still it falls on its face huge and im not sure as to why.I tried changing plugs cleaning the carb is next.I also removed the airbox lid but no change.

Also what advantage does the cam mod actualy give the machine i see alot of people doing it but what are the pros and cons of this mod.

The cam mod gives you a little more power. I don't think there is a down side to it. I did it to mine and it does pull harder.

The reason why it falls on its face is due to the carb. Mine has that problem form idle to wide open throttle. I have done the cam mod, rejetted, and tried a smaller leak jet all to no avail. i havent treid the quickshot because i cant find a dealer that will let me return it when it doesnt work.... I am thinking of getting a different carb all togethor

i have the quickshot 2 and it got rid of the bog... my throttle response is crisp, and i can sit there and bleep the throttle with no hesitation whatsoever...

is the little plastic piece that you get worth $80? not at all... is getting rid of the bog and hesitation worth $80? to me it was...

try the f2 racing powerback kit there is another thread were i have some pics and details. its called ncvt needle.

i thought that kit was for 06 and 07 models and not the 05 like mine
