i work in a machine shop and thought about making a filter cover out of aluminum with fins, dont know if it would help in any way or not, (with cooling). what do u guys think?

I think ProDesign makes something of the same with a drain screw....If you can save yourself some money and make one thats great. I work at a machine shop and thought of making numerous parts like a parking brake block-off, engine plugs and such.
